SEDARVP Ghana over the years has supported three orphanage homes consistently with donations and volunteer support. Donations in the form of foodstuff, clothing, medications, toys, toiletries etc. have been presented to orphanage homes with local and international volunteers posted to these orphanages to support in the nursing of children, training of the younger ones, cooking and cleaning of facility.
Sedarvp Ghana has also supported the education of orphans who are of school going age by helping them enroll in schools and supporting them with materials.
SEDARVP Ghana has also supported schools in the rural areas with volunteer teachers who go to the schools where the government has not posted teachers to. These volunteer teachers travel to the rural areas to teach basic schools and support the children who complete basic education and need support to proceed to High school in the nearest town or city.
makes donations to deprived school children with uniforms, books and other learning materials to help them in school.
SEDARVP GHANA also assists women in rural communities to become financially and economically independent through vocational skills training and exposing them to other income generating activities.
Through our volunteer support we partner with other organizations to provide vocational trainings like: fabric production, basket weaving, beads making and other income generating activities like shea butter extraction and production of soap and pomade.
This gives the women the opportunity to develop and empower themselves to become financially stable and economically independent.
